Emma Deakin

Emma studied for a degree in Biological Sciences at the University of East Anglia in Norwich. There she specialised in molecular microbiology and graduated in 2013.

Before joining Worn Again Technologies, Emma worked at SOCOTEC in analytical chemistry for over seven years. There she worked in the environmental division and gained a wide range of analytical laboratory experience. She started working her way through the inorganic testing laboratories, ending as member of the Organic Analysis team working with HPLC and GC-MS. Emma brings a broad range of technical experience to Worn Again Technologies in her role as Lab Technician.

Outside of work, Emma enjoys walks in the Peak District and loves all things crafty, from knitting to sewing. She is particularly passionate about making her own clothes and takes an interest in learning about different fibres and construction of clothing.

Emma is excited for the opportunity to combine her interests and laboratory experience in her role at Worn Again Technologies.
