About

Melinda Knudsen

As a researcher at Worn Again since 2012, Mel is working to map the global volume and flows of PET & cellulosic textile resources including end-of-use textiles which will become the feedstock for Worn Again’s process. Mel is also collaborating with partners on circular supply chain projects including the Interreg NWE Fibersort project.

She studied fashion in Australia, Denmark and graduated from the university of Hertfordshire in England with a thesis entitled ‘Sustainable fashion consumerism – A look at how polyester fashion consumption could become environmentally sustainable’.

Working with a values driven business marries perfectly with her passion for the environment, sustainable fashion and circular economics.

Outside of work she is hooked on ballet classes, skydiving and loves to travel.

A waste-free, circular resource world is within reach.
